Letter From Our President
Hello everyone! Welcome to the official website of the Delta Phi Epsilon, Professional Foregin Service Sorority Mu Chapter at Michigan State University.
My name is Portia Chana and I have been elected to serve as DPE’s President for the 2022 to 2023 school year. I have taken this position with great honor and look forward to the amazing things our sisters will and have accomplished this year. I rushed DPE my very first semester as an undergraduate student at Michigan State University. My college experience started in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, yet the sisters of Delta Phi Epsilon were able to provide a safe, and engaging home for me right from their online presence. I knew rushing was the best way for me to push myself outside of my comfort zone and start building connections I would have if it were a “normal” college year experience; and I’m so glad I did. The motto of Delta Phi Epsilon is “La Tre Wo”, or “I Serve”. We embody this motto through our three pillars: professionalism, philanthropy, and sisterhood. We hold various events that help us develop our professional skills, build our networks, give back to our community and various organizations, and build relationships with each other. Being part of DPE for my third year now, I have learned a lot about myself and developed essential life and business skills. But, the greatest lesson I’ve learned is knowing there is a safe and encouraging place that I belong to at Michigan State; and that’s through the atmosphere the sisters of DPE provide for all those initiated. Please take some time to go through our website, check out our LinkedIn page, and follow us on Instagram @dpemsu. Also please feel free to reach out to me directly by email ([email protected]) with any questions or concerns! La Tre Wo, Portia Chana President of DPE 2022-23 |
